On Auburn’s campus there are many wonderful organizations where students can find a club that caters to any interests they may have. For some students in the College of Agriculture, the Ag Business Club provides this niche. From innovative meetings to connecting with peers and industry leaders, the club provides many opportunities for students.
The Ag Business Club meets once a month on Tuesday nights at 6 p.m. During the meetings students meet with one another to learn more about their industry and the things it has to offer. The speakers give students the opportunity to network and connect with them after their presentations.
Brady Fricks, the club Treasurer said, “The Ag Business Club has allowed me to connect with industry leaders that will open many doors for me in the future.”
Because students work closely with representatives from these organizations, they learn about what the industry leaders do each day and what the students can do in the future. These connections are invaluable for students because visiting companies could provide internship and job opportunities for students after graduation. In the past semester, the organization has heard speakers from J.B. Hunt, Boehringer Ingelheim, Cargill and Extension.
The club also provides students a community here at Auburn filled with people who share common interests. By attending the monthly meetings and other events, students can find their Auburn family. The combination of industry connections and lifelong friendships make it easy to see why students love the Ag Business Club.
