The College of Agriculture is inviting students to participate in the celebration of Ag Week March 21-27. Ag Week is recognized nationwide to bring awareness to the importance of agriculture. Auburn will celebrate by hosting events throughout the week for students to attend that will allow them to learn, make connections, and raise awareness for our college and agriculture. Below is a list of events taking place during Ag Week.
Our Work Seminar: Oyster Farming
· Get a free lunch and learn about oyster farming in the gulf!
· Comer Hall 12-1p.m.
Beef 101
· Get a tour of the Meats Lab, watch a carcass breakdown demonstration, and receive a beef dinner with the Alabama Cattleman’s Association!
· Beef Unit time will be announced soon
Ag Olympics
· Grab some friends and join Block and Bridle in Ag Olympics! Stations are pitchfork throwing, horseshoe skeeball, egg tossing, and more!
· Beef Unit 5-6:30p.m.
Beyond the Farm
· Clubs and companies will be set up for students to visit. There will be a petting zoo, music, food, mechanical bull, dunking booth, free plants, and more!
· Campus Green 11:30a.m.-2p.m.
Farm Tour: Robinson Cattle Company
· Get hands on agricultural experience by touring a feedlot and precondition yard!
· Robinson Cattle Company 1-5p.m.
Sigma Alpha Stud Auction
· Participate in the Stud Auction and get a date! T-shirts are for sale and can be purchased until March 26.
· Alfa Pavilion 5:30p.m.
College of Agriculture Social
· Students, faculty, and staff can end Ag Week at the College of Agriculture social. There will be food, drinks, and a live band!
· Alfa Pavilion 6-8p.m.
