The College of Agriculture does an excellent job providing students with the resources to better themselves academically, professionally, and socially. Derek Taunton with the University Career Center is one of these valuable resources.
He will be hosting drop-in hours every Tuesday during the spring semester from 9-11a.m. in the lobby of Comer Hall for students to bring in their resumes or cover letters for feedback and get tips for interviews.
“I enjoy helping any student who wants my help. My favorite topic is interviewing, but I have worked in business, law, and in education. As a result, I have seen it all when it comes to resumes, cover letters and interviewing,” is how Taunton responded when asked what his favorite thing about helping students.
With a wide range of experience and expertise, Taunton is sure to have some helpful tips for all students.
In addition to resumes, cover letters, and interviews, Taunton can help students find jobs and internships. So, if you graduate this semester or need a summer internship stop by and see what advice or information, he has available.
Taunton said, “I am looking forward to working with the agriculture students,” so stop by Comer, no appointment necessary, and see how he can help you achieve success.
