Getting a start in the equine industry can be a daunting task. While there is no direct path to working in the industry, there are plenty of learning and experience opportunities that can bring you into the horse world.
The College of Agriculture is holding their biannual Women in Agriculture event on February 28 from 11-1pm. The luncheon will feature Auburn Horticulture alumni Abra Lee. Lee is a horticulturist, historian, and writer who researches Black garden history and raises awareness of the subject through social media.
The Importance of Internships
It is spring semester, which means summer internships will be approaching fast and the time to start applying is now. There are few things as important and valuable as an internship for a college student. It is an opportunity for students to network with industry leaders and gain crucial knowledge and experience to sharpen their skills before entering the workforce after graduation.
On Auburn’s campus there are many wonderful organizations where students can find a club that caters to any interests they may have. For some students in the College of Agriculture, the Ag Business Club provides this niche.
